An Amazing Opportunity for Diverse Suppliers to Meet Key Decision Makers in a Single Day
Diverse Supplier Matchmaking Invitational
Share Pittsburgh 2020 POSTPONED
In planning all SHARE Pittsburgh events, our top priority is the safety and success of our audience, guests and businesses who we welcome to promote business information exchange for our diverse business community in Southwestern Pennsylvania and abroad. The decisions we make are to keep all those listed above safe and our host location, Rivers Casino, safe and to preserve as best as is possible participating diverse business partners and corporations/agencies ability to progress in their business duties.
To aid in the effort to help slow the spread of COVID-19, the SHARE 2020 Pittsburgh Planning Committee has decided to postpone SHARE 2020 Pittsburgh that was scheduled for April 22, 2020. A future date in 2020 will be selected once a suggested time of national, state, and local event attendee restrictions have been provided.
If notified that an electronic matchmaker is required, the Planning Committee will consider this option in future plans for SHARE 2020 Pittsburgh.
While this is a difficult decision, as tremendous efforts have been committed to the success of this event in April, the Planning Committee looks to gain that same level of success and participation at a future time this year.
Please continue to connect, as is physically possible and suggested by our participating corporate business partners and agencies, with SHARE Pittsburgh stakeholders.
It is my suggestion and hope that diverse business partner utilization be a priority where possible during this time.

SHARE 2020 Pittsburgh
The annual SHARE event, created by University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC), grew out of a 2013 effort to increase economic opportunities for minorities by the Corporate Equity and Inclusion Roundtable, led by Allegheny County Executive Rich Fitzgerald, and Tim Stevens, president of the Black Political Empowerment Project.
In 2014, UPMC followed with its own attempt to match its diverse vendors to other regional corporations that might need their services. The event was so successful that a collaborative planning committee, comprised of major corporations and organizations in the community, was formed to further promote the economic growth and development of diverse suppliers in the region.
